Hello !! My name is Mark Pukmel. I’m 56 years young and I’ve been in the healing arts for over 25 years and a licensed massage therapist for 18 years. I have my own private practice in mid state New York and have a unique style in how I approach bodywork.
I’m also a professional musician for over 30 years and drums are my instrument and one of my passions in life. I’ve performed on national tv, been on rotation on international radio and have studied with well known drummers over the years.
One of my other passions for 25 years has been studying and practicing the time honored art of Qigong.
I’ve had the good fortune in life to have been able to study with great teachers in the various fields of interest in my life. Mainly drums, Qigong & massage. And now……….Self Sabotage !!
Through some very deep and profound spiritual experiences I came to realize that humans are not just a physical structure with a brain and internal organs.
We’re amazing complex energy and spiritual beings that are here to explore and experience consciousness, Qi (energy), vibration and frequency. That is…….if we choose to do so.
At various times in my musical life I played hard and fast and burned the candle at both ends. I guess you would call me the classic rock n roll drummer in my late teens and early twenties.
In my early thirties I began taking my studies seriously and transitioned out of the lifestyle of seriously partying hard to seriously studying hard.
Being a drummer for decades, when I embarked on my journey as a massage therapist I began incorporating rhythm, vibration and frequencies into my bodywork sessions.
Clients began responding in positive and sometimes profound ways and the work has evolved over time. I incorporate help from drums, ting shas, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, maracas as well as Qi (energy) to guide clients into a deeper state of relaxation where they can rejuvenate and heal.
Over the last few years I had taken several of Jason Christoff’s workshops on self sabotage and was blown away at recognizing patterns in my own life that smacked of self sabotage in many ways.
Why was my life one medical challenge after another for over 50 years ? When a very close loved one worked one on one with Jason and I personally witnessed their transformation I was blown away !
I just had to learn how to help people the way that he had helped such a close loved one !! In two sessions Jason was able to help them pinpoint their patterns and offer suggestions to help them take personal responsibility.
Over the course of the next 8 to 12 weeks I witnessed such a beautiful transformation that it was like watching a caterpillar blossom into a butterfly !! And they keep on blossoming !!
When I immersed myself in the course it was then that I was able to put the pieces of the puzzle together in my own life. I was born with health challenges and that set the stage for a life of repeated patterns over and over.
I was the wounded warrior always in battle to survive. It was my story. It’s what I knew from day one in this life. One operation after another and one crises after another.
It was Jason and this work that enabled me to see the patterns and make the changes that are allowing me to recreate my life anew. To the next grandest version, of the greatest vision that I’m becoming today.
